Preparing for ISO 9001:2026: Daira Sabz’s Commitment to Continual Improvement

Building on established quality and environmental management systems to strengthen service delivery and client confidence.

At Daira Sabz (DS) Consulting & Engineering Group, quality means understanding our clients’ needs, managing assignments responsibly and delivering work that supports sound decisions. As an international consulting group operating through Germany and Afghanistan, we welcome the revised ISO 9001:2026 standard and are committed to implementing its applicable requirements in our quality management processes.

Daira Sabz Afghanistan holds the existing ISO 9001:2015 quality management and ISO 14001:2015 environmental management certificates. These certificates provide the foundation for this next step and reflect a commitment to structured processes, customer satisfaction and environmental responsibility. They record completion of the first surveillance audits on 22 June 2026. The certificates belong to the Afghanistan organisation and do not certify the separate German company.

Embracing the ISO 9001:2026 changes

ISO’s guidance explains that the revised standard builds on the established framework, with greater emphasis on leadership, quality culture and ethical behaviour. It also clarifies the distinction between managing risks and pursuing opportunities, strengthens alignment with other management system standards and provides additional guidance for interpreting requirements.

For Daira Sabz, these priorities connect directly with how we want to work: accountable leadership, capable teams, clear responsibilities and decisions supported by reliable evidence. We accept these developments and will use the transition to identify practical improvements across our operations.

Putting our commitment into practice

Our transition approach will begin with a review of the revised requirements against our existing quality management system. This assessment will guide updates to procedures, documented information, staff awareness and internal controls.

We will strengthen the way we identify project risks and improvement opportunities, plan changes and evaluate their results. Staff engagement will be central to this process, helping colleagues understand their responsibilities for quality, professional integrity and client satisfaction.

We will also review how climate-related issues may affect our quality objectives and service delivery, alongside our environmental management commitments. Client feedback, internal audits, corrective actions and management reviews will help us assess progress and turn lessons learned into better working practices.

Our certification body will guide the formal transition arrangements. Daira Sabz Afghanistan’s current quality management certification remains ISO 9001:2015; certification to ISO 9001:2026 will depend on completing the required assessment.

Creating value for clients and partners

Across our technical consulting, engineering, environmental and social research services, our objective is to make quality visible in everyday delivery: clear assignment planning, appropriate technical review, dependable documentation and responsive communication.

For government institutions, development organisations, private businesses and consortium partners, this commitment supports confidence in how we manage work and respond to changing requirements.

We see the transition to ISO 9001:2026 as an opportunity to strengthen our processes and the value we bring to every assignment.
